Need help with a backup or a clog right now? This site can't send anyone or diagnose your plumbing. Contact your sewer utility (the emergency number is usually on its website or your bill) or a licensed plumber. If anyone is in danger, or you smell something that could be natural gas, leave and call 911. The sewer backup guide covers the first steps.
What to write about
- Corrections. Include the page address and, if you can, a source. Confirmed factual errors are fixed and noted on the guide, as described in the Editorial Policy.
- Questions about a guide that it doesn't answer, or a rule from your utility that a guide gets wrong. Common questions may become new guides.
- Privacy requests to access, correct or delete personal information, or to opt out of sale or sharing. See the Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
- Copyright notices. The procedure is in the Terms of Use.
What we can't help with
Georgia Sewer Guide doesn't recommend, rank or refer plumbers or drain companies, and can't review a specific quote or tell you whether a particular repair is needed — that takes someone who can see your pipes. We don't accept paid guest posts, sponsored listings or link placements.
When to expect a reply
We aim to reply within five business days. Privacy requests are answered within the time the applicable law allows, and we will tell you if we need more time.
