FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How the work is scoped, what a camera can show, when digging is needed, and who handles which part of the line.
Do you provide both cleaning and sewer repair?
Yes. The service is selected from the condition found. Cleaning removes obstruction or buildup; repair addresses a confirmed defect.
Do you use sewer cameras?
Camera inspection can be used when accessible piping and the reported condition make video inspection useful. What a camera can and can't show is explained in the sewer camera inspection guide.
Do you provide excavation?
Yes, when buried sewer or water-line work requires physical access and excavation is part of the approved scope. What the dig involves — locates, permits, trench safety and restoration — is covered in sewer line excavation.
Can I get an exact underground repair price by phone?
Usually not. Routing, depth, access, material, utility conflicts, and the actual defect affect the scope.
Do you handle emergency backups?
Emergency requests can be prioritized for active sewage backups, overflows, and sudden main-line failures. Call (404) 482-2527. While you wait, follow the first steps in what to do when sewage backs up.
Should I call the sewer utility or a plumber first?
It depends on who runs the public sewer at your address: some utilities check their own pipe as soon as you report a backup, others expect your plumber to clear the line first. Each city page under service areas starts with those local rules, and the sewer directory covers every place within 45 miles of Atlanta.
Who owns the sewer line between my house and the street?
Usually you own the building sewer from the house to a point set by the utility — a cleanout, the property line, the right-of-way or the main — and the utility owns the rest. The point differs between providers; see who is responsible for the sewer line in Georgia.
Will every problem require excavation or replacement?
No. Cleaning, inspection, targeted repair, excavation, and replacement are different scopes. The recommendation should follow the confirmed condition rather than assuming the largest repair.
Have a question about your own drains or sewer line?
Call and describe what is happening, where, and since when.
